It addresses a subject seldom openly discussed though laden with stereotypes and fears--gays and lesbians in education. Of all the professions, education is probably the most targeted for discrimination against homosexual individuals. By its very nature, teaching requires the establishment of relationships with administrators, teaching colleagues, students and parents.
