Neurodivergent Mondays at OBA Next

Need a calm start to your week? Join us for relaxed, creative sessions every Monday from 01st September 2025 in the OBA Next Lab Sluisbuurt.
No pressure to talk or perform—just a space to make, move your hands, play board games and feel grounded. Come and go as you like! Session themes subject to evolution and changes.

In these sessions you can: 

1. Help to shape the OBA Next Lab at Sluisbuurt on Zeeburgereiland into a sensory friendly space.

2. Collectively shape an exhibition of (neuro)divergent experiences that will take place at the end of the year, 2025!

Your host will be Jonathan Evans, a multiply neurodivergent researcher in inclusion and the creative industries at Inholland University of Applied Sciences and OBA Next Lab. Jonathan hosts every Monday at the Lab. This initiative is part of Jonathan Evans's research about neurodiversity and creativity with Hogeschool Inholland in collaboration with the Lectorate Inclusion and the Creative Industries in collaboration with Sluislab and Oba Next Lab Sluisbuurt. Jonathan challenges dominant narratives of neurodivergence by centring neurodivergent voices and ways of knowing through participatory, arts-based methods. He primarily focuses on creating inclusive, co-creative public spaces that recognise neurodivergent expertise and reshape how knowledge, emotion and experience are valued in education and society.

The idea of creating an exhibition of neurodivergent experiences with stories and objects is in co-creation with others including principally researcher on neurodivergent experiences, Flann Naji, and Rosa Mul in her role at the OBA Next.Social Media: https://www.linkedin.com/notifications/?filter=all
