Trans / gender

Nina HÃchtl, Suzanne van Rossenberg

This publication is a follow-up to the trans / gender symposium that was organised on 11 january 2003 in Rotterdam. The symposium tried to be an interplay between gender and archeology, new media and art, and to show how the terms gender (as a wider interpretation of masculine and feminine), transgender and queer are part of these fields of work. There is still a lot of space to explore around the '/'! The trans/gender magazine has no gender preference. It deals with femininity and masculinity and everything in between, and with how (not) defining these terms influences the search of identity for individuals in society.
